R:Charts X / R:Charts XE
R:Charts is the business graphics solution for R:BASE applications. Visualization is everything! Display key figures, analysis, statistics, trends and so on using graphics.
R:Charts creates graphs for masks and reports in different file formats: BMP, JPG, GIF, EMF, WMF, PCX, EPS, SVG and HTM.
Users connect to a R:BASE database, choose a wished table or view and store the created chart. The defined chart is stored in a file with the filename extension RBC. The RBC file extension itself is matched to R:Charts as soon as the product get installed.
The link between chart definition and live data is done by the plugin R:Charts (.rbm). The R: BASE PLUGINS command uses the definition file to create the live graph from current data. These can also be used within forms and reports.
R:Charts diagramms are mostly based on views aggregating data to some rows and columns. As the visualisation is based on the live data, the charts are anytime representing the current status.
R:Charts supports to store and implement EEP for predefined variable values, even before the chart is opened. For that you could open R:BASE EEP-Editor within R:Charts.
R:Charts offers 63 different series types (bar, pie, line, candle, etc.) that can be added to a chart, along with 42 available standard, financial, and extended functions, that can be applied to any group of data series.
R:Charts is available for both R:BASE X and R:BASE X Enterprise databases.
